Archive: sculptures by Herb Rosenberg

Working in a square formate was a departure from the rectangle Rosenberg seems to have been wedded to for years. These are metal collages with some found objects. Here we find cut pieces of aluminum with the predictable illusory surfaces twisted and turned an adhered to a medium-gray aluminum 2'x2' panel. Porcupine quills add important visual detail to the composition.
